Why We Enjoy Robot Vacuum And Mop (And You Should Too!)

Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos

Robot vacuums and mop are getting more efficient. They pass our cleaning tests, and are able to handle different floors. Look for models that let you choose from multiple modes, use their charging docks to automatically empty, and clean up stairs.

A lot of the top models integrate with your smartphone. Find an app that lets you save maps, schedules and select cleaning modes.

1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro

The gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is one of most impressive mop and robot vacuum combos available. It makes use of lidar to navigate, and create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels) and integrates with the free Eufy Clean app that lets you set up schedules and modify the S1's behavior.

The S1 was able to map my downstairs quickly, which includes flooring in the kitchen, dining area and bathrooms and also a medium-pile and a large rug. It was capable of driving close to walls and even across raised thresholds without issue. However, it had some difficulty getting down the stairs in one go. The S1 performed well in cleaning hard floors. Its mop moved smoothly on its flat side and raised itself when it reached carpets or rug.

The docking station on the S1 automatically empties its trash bin and fills its onboard water tank with clean, ozonated water before each mopping session. The dock adds a deep-cleaning solution to the water. The S1 water tank can hold enough for 12 cleaning sessions, but this will differ depending on the frequency you use the mop.

Like all 2-in-1 robots the S1 requires regular maintenance to ensure that it's operating well. In order to do this, you'll have to wash the dirty water tank occasionally to prevent it from clogging. Also, you'll need to clean your sensor and swivel wheel frequently to prevent them from getting blocked by dirt or dust. Overall, the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.

2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

This all-in-1 robot mop and vacuum combo from Ecovacs is a reliable option to meet your cleaning requirements. The robot vacuum has 8,700Pa suction power and comes with a number advanced features like voice control and smart path planning that cleans furniture and avoids obstacles. Its mopping capability is impressive, with mops that rotate that actually lift and scrub the floor, instead of simply dragging the pad across it. Mops can also be dried and cleaned at the base station when required.

This robot combo has an easy interface that guides you throughout the process.  robot vacuum cleaners reviews  includes a rechargeable hand vacuum for those areas that the robot can't reach, as well as two water tanks that are automatically empty and refilled whenever needed. It comes with a variety of useful settings that allow you to fine tune your cleaning preferences.

The Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a good vacuum cleaner. It has a powerful suction that is able to easily pick up dirt and other debris that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are robust, however it can sometimes get caught up on the tiny carpets or area mats that I have in my home (which is something you can reduce by creating a virtual boundary within the application). Its mopping capabilities are also excellent, with a pair spinning mops which are able to lift and scrub floors, rather than just drag the pad across it. The mops are also cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station as required. The mops can also be replenished at the top of the station if needed.

3. Dreame X40 ultra

Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop was launched earlier this year. But their new flagship model is packed with impressive features. It is a great cleaner and is simple to maintain. This makes it a top contender on our top list of mops and robot vacuums. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition and a longer side brush guarantee an efficient, customized clean.

The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, picking up fine and large debris from hard floors as well as carpets. It was able to clean the dirtiest areas of our tests well, avoiding pet hairs and other dirt. The sweeping capability of the machine is boosted by a sidebrush that automatically extends to reach hard-to-reach areas, and a mop pad that extends along baseboards.

Its navigation is nimble, navigating tight spaces and climbing stairs without skipping a beat. It can move from one area to another without having to reverse direction it is a useful feature for larger homes with many rooms. Its obstacle avoidance technology isn't as advanced than some competitors however, and tends to leave a thick margin around obstacles, which can result in missed spots.

Its app has a streamlined user interface that is designed to be easy to use for both new and experienced users. The app allows you to schedule and manage cleanings, alter suction power and mopping settings as well as view 3D and 2D maps, and much more. It can be controlled via the app, Alexa or Google Assistant. You can even use the X40 Ultra's camera remotely, for live video surveillance. You'll require a stable WiFi connection to run the app and external controls.

4. Roomba Q5 pro

A robot vacuum does an excellent job of removing dirt and debris however, it's not able to be able to reach every particle of dust. That's why it's important to use your regular vacuum at least once every week, and especially to remove dust from corners, on shelves, and in the corners of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop designed to do exactly that. It's easy to connect to your home Wi-Fi network, and works with Alexa and Apple Siri, making it an even more convenient addition to your routine of cleaning.

The Q5 is a stripped-down version of the company's pricier S-series models, including the flagship Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. It has the same LIDAR mapping sensors, however it is cheaper because it doesn't come with mopping capabilities, and also has a plastic body.

The Q5 is still one of the most powerful vacuums and mopping robots we've ever seen in this price range, despite not being able to clean your floor. It has powerful 5500Pa suction and an automatic emptying system, so you don't have to manually empty the bin every time. It also features a smart application that lets you choose your floor type and schedule cleanings, and an automatic refill of the water tank and wash system that allows hands-free operation.

Its mops are also impressive, with a 2700Pa capacity to combat pet hair and dirt on carpets as well as hard floors. The Q5 was one of the few robots we tested that did not have a problem with high-pile area rugs and carpets. However, it could not pick up kitty-litter or cable tangles. This isn't surprising because it doesn't contain AI-powered obstacle avoidance.

5. K10 Plus

K10 Plus is the quietest robot vacuum we've ever tested. It also uses an innovative mapping system that allows it to reach corners and tight places that other vacuums are unable to. This device also has the larger bin, meaning that you don't have to empty it as often. It also has washable filters, which further reduces costs. The robot is also able to detect carpets and boost the suction when needed. You can also mark off areas you would like to keep out of the app.
